TODA PESSOA COM INSUFICIÊNCIA RENAL CRÔNICA DESEJA TRANSPLANTAR?
Resumo
Este estudo de caso investiga as relações de duas pessoas com insuficiência renal crônica durante o processo de avaliação para transplante renal. A metodologia inclui análise de prontuários e aplicação de escalas psicológicas. Maria enfrenta conflitos familiares e vê o transplante como uma esperança de retorno à vida anterior, enquanto João, resiliente, pondera sobre os riscos e impactos na dinâmica familiar. Os resultados destacam estratégias de enfrentamento distintas, ressaltando a singularidade na abordagem do adoecimento renal crônico. O estudo aponta para a necessidade de um atendimento personalizado e destaca a importância de romper estigmas associados à hemodiálise, ao transplante renal e à insuficiência renal crônica.

Abstract
This case study investigates the relationships of two individuals with their chronic renal insufficiency during the evaluation process for kidney transplantation. The methodology involves medical record analysis and the application of psychological scales. Maria, facing family conflicts, sees transplantation as a hope for a return to her previous life, while resilient João contemplates the risks and impacts of the surgery on his family dynamics. The results highlight distinct coping strategies, emphasizing the uniqueness of approaching chronic renal illness. The study points to the need for personalized care and emphasizes the importance of breaking stigmas associated with hemodialysis, kidney transplantation and chronic renal insufficiency.

Resumen
Este estudio de caso examina las relaciones de dos personas con insuficiencia renal crónica durante el proceso de evaluación para trasplante renal. La metodología implica el análisis de registros y la aplicación de escalas psicológicas. María enfrenta conflictos familiares y ve el trasplante como una esperanza de regresar a su vida anterior, mientras que João, siendo resiliente, reflexiona sobre los riesgos e impactos en la dinámica familiar. Los resultados resaltan estrategias de afrontamiento distintas, destacando la singularidad de la enfermedad renal crónica. El estudio señala la necesidad de una atención personalizada y destaca la importancia de romper con estigmas asociados a la hemodiálisis, al trasplante renal y a la insuficiencia renal crónica.
