Physics and Philosophy are sciences known for their relevance, both in technological development and in the construction of society's thinking. However, schools and universities have always been recognized as independent, and physicists and philosophers do not recognize the importance of one to the other. This work aims to discuss the philosophical bases present in Physics, as well as its importance for the development and conquest of the identity of this science, in addition to presenting Spinoza's main affinities in the construction of the Theory of Relativity proposed by Albert Einstein. The methodology used in the construction of the research was bibliographic. Through the research, we found evidence that the philosophical currents influenced the main discoveries of Physics, among which we highlight the laws that describe the movement of bodies proposed by Isaac Newton, as a confirmation of the philosophical current of René Descartes. We also highlight the convergences between the philosophical thought of Benedictus Spinoza in the 17th century and Albert Einstein in the construction of the Theory of Relativity. In this sense, the text brings elements that show the importance of Philosophy for Physics, in the process of building its identity and in the main scientific revolutions.
