Interfaces between school and teacher trainning in educating cities

Abstract

We aim to analyze educational practices, published by the International Association of Educating Cities (AICE) and which take place in schools, establishing relationships with the social dimension of teaching professionalism. By online bibliographic research, we analyzed a set of Highlighted Experiences, published on the official website, and we identified the space-place of schools in Educating Cities. We interpreted with the experiences analyzed as a social commitment of teachers with their communities and territories, in practices that are linked to other contexts in the city. We concluded that it is necessary to value teaching knowledge and its collective construction in teacher education paths at/by the school, located in the city.
