This paper presents the dialogue between culture and education, with the digital culture as one of the mediators, and the construction of the curriculum and as a central axis for the national project. The contradictions, setbacks, and inconsistencies that pervade the dialogue, nor the advances made in the republican school, cannot be avoided. It highlights the dangers that can hinder the dialogue and the setbacks of educational innovation. It considers the ideological and conceptual traps that the consumer society and the financier economy place on the school social function, the curriculum, and the role of technology in education. It analyzes public policies and their advances, concluding that the integration between technology and curriculum can be shown as one of the ways, when dealing with technology as means for humanization, empowerment, and liberation, with a view to social quality of education.
