Into the path of craft of research

This article aims to expose and discuss the processes and procedures followed to devise a Master's degree dissertation which had as its major objective the focus on craft of research. Paths and articulations from the perspective of Cultural Studies and Foucauldian Studies are discussed, as well as the process of performing a post-structuralist research, which is marked by a non-guarantee of achieving a safe result. Possible procedures are also focused to develop and sharpen tools that allow the researcher to deal with specific problems research inspired by this framework. In the way of this study, the path undergone was a discursive analysis of foucauldian inspiration, from which a categorization of some schoolchildren as undisciplined individuals was discussed, and also framed in Augusto Cury's self-improvement literature directed at educators. With this a posteriori sharing of the path taken in this study, the objective is to contribute to the search for clues to the practice of research for those who are walking in this complex terrain of problematizations arising from perspectives linked to post-structuralism.
