Análise de prosa: uma forma de investigação em pesquisas qualitativas

In education researches, there is a prevalence of certain qualitative data analysis approaches, including content analysis (análise de conteúdo) and meaning cores (núcleos de significação). Beyond that, in some researches, there is a lack of clarity in the approach used or in the theoretical-methodological path followed by the researcher. This article aims to present the prose analysis (análise de prosa), contributed by Marli André, a researcher in the field of research methodology and teachers’ education, as an original approach to qualitative data analysis that has brought excellent contributions to master's and doctoral researches, as it has been identified in several works. Furthermore, this article describes, in a systematic way, how the approach was used in the doctoral research carried out by Sigalla (2018). Thus, it is expected to contribute with elements that broaden the discussion on qualitative approaches and the understanding of prose analysis, giving researchers the opportunity to think about this and other ways of using this approach, as a potential methodological enrichment for their researches.
