ICTs are important for Distance Education in the current scenario. This article presents a case study about students’ interaction in webinars developed in the postgraduate communication area during the pandemic. It supports this research proposal theoretical reference about the elements that compose it, particularly on the educational changes during the pandemic. A case study according to the perspective of Yin (2001) is inserted on this theoretical basis. The critical mechanism encompassed exploratory research, by means of five webnaires recorded by the students in the virtual learning environment. According to the principles of Bardin (2011) for content analysis, we started with a pre-analysis, followed by material exploration, treatment of results, inference, and interpretation. As a result, this article presents effective participation during the events, with interdisciplinary practices for the construction of knowledge, guided by a ritual of interaction and socialization.
