The article is the result of research experiences with the Guarani and Kaiowá people of Mato Grosso do Sul, the sensitive listening carried out with the productions of indigenous authorship and the discussions and actions that were present in the Research Project “ O indigenous protagonismo in Mato Grosso do Sul in ethnographic authorship studies: : reflections on pedagogies, schools, children/childhoods and life stories” and in the Intercultural Education and Traditional Peoples Research Group/CNPq. The text aims to raise and analyze in the writings of the Guarani and Kaiowá teachers/researchers information and conceptions about their indigenous schools and their school experiences. The article is based on a literature review of three master's dissertations by indigenous Guarani/Kaiowá professors defended in the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE) of the Dom Bosco Catholic University (UCDB) and readings of articles that support these productions. The focus of analysis will be basic education and the influence that this period of academic training had on their lives. The results, still preliminary, show that in the research carried out there is a difficulty in establishing a teaching curriculum that values both knowledge (traditional/indigenous and modern/colonizing).
