MANAGERS' PERSPECTIVES ON TRAINING, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL NEEDS IN A PANDEMIC CONTEXT

Abstract

This article is the result of training of school managers carried out within the framework of the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic in Angola. The objective of the training was to share administrative and pedagogical procedures, raise awareness among the school community and develop a comprehensive action plan for the prevention and meaningful learning of students in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The quantitative approach was used, using the questionnaire technique. They also used qualitative techniques, such as participating observation and analysis of participants' opinions. The exhibition consisted of 168 school managers. The results reveal that it is essential to train managers in leadership techniques and in the accompaniment of people in the context of serious health or social crises, such as the pandemic. It also concludes in the need to train managers in emotional intelligence skills in times of pandemic.
