Motherhood, teaching practice, and digital information and communication technologies (DICTs) are the object of this research. In addition, the authors' reports on their experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic were analyzed, as well as the challenges required by the imposed situation. Regarding the methodology, this is a bibliographic, documentary, and narrative research, with a qualitative approach. As women and mothers, material, social and affective confrontations transformed their daily lives, including caring for their sons and daughters in such a delicate moment. As researchers, they consider DICTs essential for this context — aware that these technologies are not accessible to most Brazilian women. The route exposed here presents some decrees of the federal government in relation to referrals made in the educational sphere. After reporting on the experiences of maternity, teaching, and researching, the text discusses the role of Brazilian women and mothers in the face of situations of violence to which they were exposed during the period of confinement — as well as their domestic, education of their child and unemployment. Subsequently, the authors highlight the role of DICTs as an important element to reflect on their roles as mothers, teachers, and researchers during emergency remote teaching. Finally, the text considers that, for the authors, the moment of confinement revealed new knowledge about their educational practices and emotional overcoming in the care of their sons and daughters, despite the numerous challenges.
